When you can’t finish writing an email before you’re ready to send it, you can save a draft message in Outlook on the web. Outlook automatically saves new email messages you create as drafts on the web. The program tries to save schedule messages every three minutes. In the “Folders” section is a “Drafts” folder that contains unfinished email messages you’ve created.
Steps To Create Email Templates In Microsoft Outlook & Its Uses
If you’re working on a new email message and want to save a draft message in Outlook on the web, click the More Actions down arrow in the Commands group at the bottom of the main message area to open More Options. You can save the email message by clicking Save Draft. You can also select the Save Draft command at the top of the message creation panel under Additional Commands. It replaces drafts automatically saved by Outlook on the web. In the lower right corner of the text e-mail section, the time when the draft message was last saved is displayed.

Click the Drafts folder in the Folders section to open a draft message and continue working with it. Find the message you want to collaborate on in the inbox and open the message in the “Read” section.
If you have a draft email that you no longer want to send, you can click the draft folder to open the message. Then click the “Delete” button at the bottom of the message. A “rejection message” window will appear. You can click Remove to delete the message or click Discard to return to the message and continue editing as needed. Alternatively, you can find the message in the Drafts folder, right-click on the message, select Delete and send the message to the Deleted Items folder.

When you “delete” a draft message, it goes into the Deleted Items folder and stays there until the folder is empty or 30 days have passed. This is useful if you decide to go back and continue working after a deleted draft message.
