Last week we announced the availability of the first version of the Skype for Business Server 2019 Control Panel as part of the Skype for Business Server 2019 July 2019 Cumulative Update! As you may know from our Ignite 2018 presentation, we worked to create a modern version of the dashboard that doesn’t rely on the soon-to-be-defunct Silverlight technology, but instead relies on React. Although the new control panel will not have all the functionality of the old control panel, we will include a special set of features that should cover most of your organization.

Text messages are the first to go to TSBAC, where they appear in Messaging Policies. In the future, you will be able to create different policies and assign them to different sets of users. If Microsoft updates TSBAC to allow tenants to create and update tenants, you will be able to access the Users section of the console and assign settings to each user there (Figure 3). For example, you can allow some users to remove their messages from channels, while others cannot.

It’s good to use policies to control access to a given functionality at the user level – you don’t have to go down to that level of granularity and you can use the default policy, but it’s good to be able to create and use different policies that reflect a particular user. groups if needed.

I don’t see evidence today of multi-configuration capabilities where you can select a set of users and apply the same policy to that set. This can come in a future version of the console, or Microsoft can modify the PowerShell module for groups to allow the administrator to create a collection of users (perhaps everyone in the department or country) and the accounts with the stamp group policies. Large tenants definitely need a way to automate the provisioning process.

The only complaint I have with this survey is that it lacks visibility into where users are using Skype for Business. This view is important for those with Skype for Business Hybrid deployments to have an idea of ​​where the majority of users are.

Switch to different tabs, the ‘Users’ tab provides a complete list of users enabled for Team and SfBO. The call analytics section has recently been added to the management portal and is a powerful tool that allows managers to gain insight into how calls were made and network behavior during calls.

The “Meetings” tab provides the ability to create new meeting settings or pre-installed settings that are not suitable for the environment.
